We Enable Individuals

In an era of change, uncertainty and remote work optimizing effective self-governance and leadership is imperative to both personal and organizational relevance and growth.

LOC provides coaching, consulting & development to enable individuals, across all generations and hierarchy levels, to develop and strengthen their self-governance and leadership skills. This intentional development can render the greatest impact and return for both individuals, organizations and communities.While LOc supports training and development across all generations, the desire to grow the next generation of leaders is core to its mission.

In addition to personalized and customizied support, LOC offers group leadership programs that convene a cohort of leaders and potential leaders to learn and grow together.

One of the signature programs under the Individual pillar of LOC is The Next Steps Initiative.The Next Steps Initiative is a leadership development program that grows the next generation of leaders. The Initiative engages a select number of young adults through a 10-week online leadership development session. The program culminates with a “Pitch Session” that allows participants to present an idea or concept for ongoing development to a group of sponsors for monetary or mentorship support.

The Initiative educates, engages, and encourages participants through interactive and dynamic programming and support. Content topics range from goal setting, developing a plan of action, self-negotiation, public speaking, effective communications, financial discipline/literacy, time management and more. Courses are taught by professional and dedicated Next Steps Initiative faculty. The faculty are core members of LOC’s “Light Agent” community.

We Enable Organizations

For the first time in history, there are five generations in the workplace. These generational differences matter because they influence attitudes, behaviors, and communication styles. These then impact collaboration, productivity, and overall work environment dynamics. In addition to personalized and customized support, LOC offers signature workshops under its organization pillar to help stakeholders optimize for envisioned success.

We Enable Communities

Citizen engagement and community building can influence decisions that affect the delivery of services, future vision and overall growth and sustainability of communities. LOC provides coaching, consulting and development to enable leaders, communities and organizations optimize opportunities to effectively inform, involve, consult, and empower community members.

In addition to personalized and customized support, LOC offers a signature program under its community pillar to help engage community residents.

One of the signature programs under the community pillar of LOC is the WE CARE initiative.

-The focus is on providing information, resources, and services to community residents through health & wellness fairs, seminars, resource tables, and other unique events and distinct programming.

-This mix of support helps residents Ripen (Improve) Reap (Benefit) and Recover (Reposition) to operate in their best light and live their best lives. The WE CARE initiative was founded by Argo-Summit, IL community resident Almarine Kates in 2010 and has reached and supported hundreds of community residents, as well as citizens beyond the Argo-Summit community.

-Almarine Kates has officially commissioned The Lights On Collective to package, host and execute the WE CARE program to support additional communities.
